I am a certified residential appraiser, and have been appraising since 2010. As a second-generation appraiser, I’ve seen firsthand the evolution of the industry since the late 1990s.
As a born problem-solver, I relish the opportunity to appraise the more unique properties such as earth ships, top-of-the-market homes, and historically significant properties. My breadth of experience allowed me to quickly rise to the position of Regional Appraisal Manager of a national AMC. My leadership experience continues as I currently serve as the President of the Colorado Association of Real Estate Appraisers (CAREA) and I formerly served as the Vice President of the Colorado Coalition of Appraisers (CCA). I strive to open lines of communication between all sectors of the mortgage process by holding forums with lenders and realtors. Not one of us would have a job without the others.
I enjoy starting my morning with my freshly roasted cup of coffee. I’ve begun taking my coffee habit so seriously that I roast my own coffee beans in my garage. My 3 young kids know how important coffee is to making this house run smoothly and love to help roast, grind, and brew the coffee! My family and I love to escape to the mountains on the weekends whenever my wife and I aren’t busy shuffling the kids between activities, sports, and friends’ houses.

I have worked in appraisal management for 17 years, starting as a vendor analyst and working my way up over time to become a manager and executive. Having studied philosophy and ethics, I appreciate the difficult position in which appraisers sometimes find themselves as upholders of public trust especially when faced with high-pressure dilemmas which hinge upon their work. I strive to build partnerships with both customers and appraisers based on a solid foundation of mutual trust and respect, and find immense fulfillment in solving difficult assignment problems working with partners who truly care about customer service and report quality. I approach appraisal orders with a mentality of not just finding any appraiser to complete it, but the best appraiser for the job.
I am currently in training toward earning an appraiser certification. In my spare time I enjoy seeking out the best biscuits, bourbon, and beaches, or at least imagining what they might be like.

I started my appraisal career in 2010 in Los Angeles, but have been appraising in the Colorado market area since 2017. I hold the SRA and AI-RRS designations from the Appraisal Institute.
I enjoy appraising small income properties and unusual, rural properties. As chief appraiser I review reports for quality control and to ensure USPAP compliance as well as to deepen and widen my own knowledge of real estate valuation.
When we can make time, my wife and I take our two loud kids on camping trips in Colorado and occasionally, to see family in California, New York and Japan.

I have spent the last 16 years in the appraisal and AMC industries. I have had the great opportunity to fulfill a wide variety of different positions, including account management, review, project management, accounting, IT/systems, executive management and also as a certified residential appraiser. This unique background gives a better understanding of how all the pieces fit together and how they interact with each other. From experience, I know how important each and every role is to the success of our clients. My main function at Mosaic is to ensure that all of our departments, processes and technical systems work harmoniously with each other to maintain compliance, maximize efficiency and to provide excellent customer service. I also oversee all of our financials and act as the human resources director.
When not working, my focus shifts to my family. I am blessed with two amazing boys. We enjoy going to parks, pools, and having dance parties in the living room. We do not enjoy stepping on Legos, doing homework, or breaking our Rubik’s cubes.
